Marshfield’s custom design and make program has met the needs for individual pieces to large production runs. Work has begun with an idea, a sketch, a photograph or a discussion. The range of design and materials goes from exotic to practical, from traditional to contemporary.

Here are some recent examples:

Zebra and Ostrich Theater Group

Eleven entire zebra hides plus 78 black dyed ostrich hides were provided to make two theater groups. Special care was used to cut around tears, worn spots and scars in the hides while working to match colors and provide a truly one of a kind custom furniture group. A celebrity customer asked that we do not disclose his name.

Alzheimer's Chair

A custom designed chair for use in a Alzheimer’s facility. It is smaller in scale to accommodate the users. It has a tight seat and tight back attached in a manner so pills and medications cannot be hidden in the chair. We worked in conjunction with the interior designer to assure her needs ands specifications were met.

Contemporary Hotel

A contemporary hotel project with separate designs for the lobby area, the lounge and the rooms. Working from the architect’s sketches, we scaled and built benches, ottomans, chairs and sofas in a contemporary theme.

Resort Sofa and Sectional

A new sofa and sectional design developed from an idea to a sketch to a prototype and to finished products for resort use.

Spa Chair

A spa waiting area chair and a recreational area lounge. Unique and specialized to meet the customer’s needs. Finished products created from an interpretation of our customer’s vision.
